The penthouse apartment has a north-facing living area and balcony with pleasant natural light through-out the day, along with three bedrooms on the main 12th floor. There are two more bedrooms on the 13th floor with a north side terrace. An important aspect of the interior design was to create a harmonious and lively home for the family and their occasional gatherings, while responding to the needs and aspirations of the individual members.

A few modifications were done on the main 12th floor to open up the entrance area with a chamfered corner; increase the functionality of the kitchen and open it up to connect with the dining area; and rework the layouts of the service area & day-toilet. On the 13th floor, the modifications involved creating a lounge space with an attached pantry and making a larger dress area with walk-in wardrobe for the master bedroom. The staircase connecting both the levels was designed with an elevator on one side and made in steel to keep it light-weight and unobtrusive. The rather typical laminated wooden flooring provided was replaced with Kota stone in the bedrooms.

The interior surfaces and materials, especially of the common living areas and master bedroom, were selected keeping in mind a natural character with soft colours. In the children’s bedrooms it has been done with a combination of bold colours and the rawness of cement boards. Wooden surfaces have been used as a binding element to balance the selection of finishes in different spaces.
